About Tzamenkomst River Lodge
www.tzamenkomst.com
Tzamenkomst means meeting or getting together, which is apt since the Lodge is a popular “halfway” overnight bed and breakfast stop for travellers from Cape Town to Johannesburg, just outside Colesberg and a wonderful place for family and friends to get together.
The farm is situated 25km north of Colesberg, just off the N1 on the convergence of the Orange River and Oorlogspruit in the Northern Cape.
The Free State is just across the river and Gariep Dam is nearby.
There are over 30 species of game at Tzamenkomst River Lodge and an abundance of birdlife. Guests may mountain bike, swim and tube in the Orange River. Game drives can be organised for a fee; please enquire with the lodge manager.
They also offer world class fishing on the Orange River, which is famous for small and large mouth yellow fish. There are also dams on the farm which are stocked with bass for catch and release fishing.
